I have had continuous, oftentimes excruciating pain in my lower back as well as sciatic nerve pain in both legs reaching as far down as my ankles and feet. This pain and discomfort have been debilitating to say the least. It has prevented me from normal activities such as going to the movies or long car rides and has impaired my work situation. In truth, there is not one area in my life that has not been negatively affected by the pain and discomfort that I feel.
I have had two failed back surgeries; both discectomies for herniated disks at the L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels. A short while after each surgery the pain returned and worsened and I have been living with it ever since. I have tried exercise and physical therapy, massage, trigger-point, and even acupressure, but nothing has worked.
However, after consistently seeing Dr. Franz last year, I have been able to lead a much more normal life. Through his care, I have been able to return to a quality of life that was previously unthinkable. It is the only thing that has helped me after years of suffering and disappointment.
